The Isles Series:

What if love at first sight is not first sight at all?

Beginning in 1427, this generational saga set in the islands west of Scotland is a story about love, adventure, transcendence, resurrection, and bonds by blood and soul.

Isolba, the gifted daughter of the Chief of Clan MacKay, and Rindan, a young cliff-climber on a neighboring archipelago, are brought together by fate. Though betrothed to marry Cormac of the rival Clan McCloud, Isolba finds a past-life connection with Rindan, a tie too deep to ignore.

The druid priest Baltair, who has strayed from his spiritual path for want of control, recognizes her gifts. He desires not only to teach her the old ways, but how to tap into her ancestral powers. When she rejects this proposal, he turns on her, bent on destroying her if he cannot learn her secrets.

As a refugee in disguise seeking sanctuary from her people’s barbaric ways, Isolba can do nothing with her feelings for Rindan. Yet the spiritual world stirs around them, awakening ancient memories of who they were before, all while Isolba’s gifts flourish. Since a small child, she can restore life to tiny creatures and learns how to walk the boundary between the world of the living and the dead, but not without endangering herself. When Rindan plunges into the Otherworld during a fateful climb, she is the only one who can try to save him.

The series follows Isolba and her descendants through time and space as they fight against the corruption of both society and blood, evil intentions, and the ancient darkness threatening to steal dominion from humankind.

Blended with philosophical, mythical, and biblical themes, The Isles is a historically rich experience of surviving the harsh nature of island life, societal and religious constraints, and the constant fight for good in a world where evil lusts for total control. The stories take shape around the supernatural world where metaphysics, reincarnation, gods, ghosts, fairies, and giants reign in realms both mortal and invisible.
